Opportunity to Serve! Would you be willing to drive &/or ride along with the Church van on Sunday mornings to bring people to church? A need has arisen in our community. Speak to or email Donna Edwards (Membership Chair) to volunteer.

Welcome New Member

Marty and Amy Cline and their children Easton, Landon and Conner (Conner is not pictured)  came forward in transfer of membership on Sunday, January 7, 2018.    Marty is a School District Administrator and Amy is a secretary at the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.  They enjoy spending time with family and sports.   Let’s continue to welcome The Cline family to our church.

Sunday Message

From the FCC Library…

We have added a new page called “Library News.”  You can find it on the menu bar under “Christian Education.” Plans for the use of it are still underway.  If you have suggestions, contact our Librarian or Webmaster.

We have regular hours (8:30-9:00 and 10:00-10:30 on Sunday mornings and 1:00 – 4:00 on Wednesdays).  If you  cannot come in during those times, we use the Honor System for you to check out a book and leave your signed book cards on the back counter.  Please do not take a book out of the library without signing it out with the date and your name.  You will have 2 weeks to get the book back to the library (calendar is available for you to put the due date on the “Due Back Sheet” inside the back cover).

Thank you for your support of the First Christian Church Library.   Judy Adkins, FCC Librarian

God’s Warm Place is a winter shelter ministry hosted by First Presbyterian Church. When the temperature is below freezing, they have committed to open their doors for people to sleep inside.  There are two main ways you can serve:

  • By volunteering to be an overnight host with the guests. (There is more information
    at: https://www.newfpc.com/outreach/gods-warm-place )
  • Donating Wrapped snack food items for guests to have to eat.

Anyone willing to serve overnight can sign up online and there are more details about  volunteering there.  Please consider how you can support this important ministry in our community by calling  First Presbyterian Church at 270-821-6426.
