Welcome New Members
We rejoice in welcoming Lester and Linda Good as the newest members of our church family. Lester and Linda came forward in transfer of membership on Sunday, January 15, 2012.
Lester is a controller at Gourmet Express in Greenville and enjoys woodworking and gardening. Linda is a retired teacher, and enjoys music. Let us continue to welcome Lester and Linda into the life and ministry of First Christian Church.

PIZZA HUT FUNDRAISER VOUCHERS are available in the church office for those who would like to support our youth program and Relay for Life. Vouchers are accepted the FIRST THURSDAY of each month, from 4 to 9 pm. Ten percent of the total of your dine-in, carryout or delivery order will be given to our church. This is a great time of fellowship and another way to donate.

What’s a Ski Thing?
Come find out at the West Area Ski- Thing January 27-28, 2012. Chi Rho and CYF will leave our church at 6pm Friday (eat a small supper before you come) and we’ll return Sat. before 9pm. Registration forms have been mailed to your home (extras are available on the bulletin board). It all starts with a lock-in at FCC Owensboro, then on to Paoli Peaks. Don’t miss out on the fun of being with youth from all over the West Area. See Jeff Wortham for more information.

First Christian Church Walk of Memories Forms are available in the narthex for those who want to participate in building a brick sidewalk on the west side of the church. An engraved brick with your information will provide a memorial for years to come. |
Nicaragua Mission Trip will take place February 28th through March 11th. If you would like to participate in this mission trip see Ed Ramsey, Mary Susan Fishman or Mark Lee for a first hand description of this ministry.

The Backpack Blessings program provides weekend meals for underprivileged children. It is sponsored by Family Resource Centers. First Christian Church supports the students at West Broadway Elementary. For more information and a complete list, see the flyers on the Backpack Blessings collection box in the narthex. |
