On this last week until Christmas I wanted to offer my gratitude for your kind welcome and the friendship you have offered my family. I am incredibly grateful to serve such a loving congregation. I’m also grateful for the wonderful staff who serve this congregation faithfully. It is clear to me how much they love this Church and the ministry we are called to in this place.
On Tuesday morning I was blessed to experience the assembly and delivery of the Christmas baskets of food and the Angel Tree gifts. We had volunteers of all ages and everyone was ready to jump in and lend a hand. One volunteer, who is also new to the Church, summed it up best, “I love MY Church!” Thank you to all who donated their dollars, brought food, gifts, and showed up to help assemble & deliver! It was truly a time to give thanks for the reason for the Season.
Sunday is Christmas Eve! We have three ways for you to experience worship. At 10:30 am we will have our morning worship in the sanctuary with a special live nativity scene with the children and youth. (If you are in the nativity scene – don’t forget to come to church at 9am to practice one more time.) Come ready to experience the story of Christ as our young people tell the story of Christ’s birth! Between 4-5pm we will have a “drop in” meditative communion in the sanctuary. You are welcome to come any time during that hour to spend some time in prayer, scripture, and communion. At 6pm we are having a Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship. This is one of my favorite services of the year! Invite a friend to join you or offer to give someone a ride.
Glad to be in ministry with you!
