This Friday marks the liturgical end of Christmas and now we move into Epiphany, when God continues to reveal his Son, Jesus, to the world as the Messiah. Although I have become less of a fan of winter as I age, I love this time of year as we move through the very human life Christ lived, his ministry, his calling of the disciples, his teachings, and his ultimate sacrifice for each of us. Easter falls on April 1, this year so that day will be anything but April fools day. Make plans now to be a part of our daily holy week services March 26-30, and our Maundy Thursday observance the evening of March 29. Don’t let the cold weather keep you in as we venture into a new year. A new Sunday Bible Study class begins February 18th in the Chapel led by Eric Nance Woehler. He is hoping to target the 40-50s age folks, but anyone is welcome!
Here is our music rehearsal start up schedule: Children’s Choirs – Monday, January 8, 4pm; Sanctuary Handbells – Wednesday, January 10, 6pm; Orchestra – Monday, January 22 (contrary to my email last week and church calendar in this newsletter), 6pm.
