I want to let you know about two NEW Sunday School events that are beginning for adults on Sunday, Feb. 18th.
I will be leading a 5 Sunday class on Spiritual Practices through the Season of Lent. We’ll be looking at the ways Christians over history have deepened their faith and connection to God through different spiritual practices. We will be talking about: prayer, scripture, worship, silence, fasting, & acts of service. This class will be a mix of lecture, discussion, & live practice! My hope is that you will gain some new ideas & practices for your daily faith. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall. For questions, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Eric Nance Woehler is starting a NEW class that will meet in the Chapel. If you aren’t currently a part of a class – this is a great time to join! Here’s what Eric says about the class:
The “Less-Young Adult Sunday-school Class” and if you feel like that description fits your stage of life, you are correct—please join us. We’ll start with a couple of months of reading about Jesus and the early church and getting to know one another, and your being a part of the conversation would bless us all.
Contact Eric or join them on the 18th in the Chapel (top floor near choir and offices) at 9am.We have classes for all ages and a dedicated bunch of teachers. Candy Bone or Kitty Davis would love to help you connect with any of our on-going classes. Glad to be in ministry with you!
P.S. Don’t forget to bring in your canned soup for the Super Bowl THIS Sunday! You can drop your donations in the narthex/entryway.
