Music Ministry Hiatus

Just 2 weeks ago I was thanking several people for all the help with our Hanging of the Green.  Now we’ve come to the home stretch and I feel the need to once again thank all the folks involved in our  Music Ministry – not just for seasonal music, but for the week in and week out sacrifice of time and  effort they make to bring  artful, good-quality music into our worship experience.  If you’re reading this prior to Sunday, December 17, please join us for our Christmas music presentation Come, Peace of God, Sunday, December 17, 6pm, and bring a friend or two.  If you are reading this post-17th, we thank you for coming and being a part.

The program will include two of our children’s choirs, sanctuary choir, hand bells, orchestra, and some congregational carol singing.  Are special guests will be a string quartet from the Louisville area.  They will be featured on one piece and augmenting our orchestra for the evening.  You don’t want to miss it.

Let me thank our Church Orchestra for playing a set of Christmas music at Pride Elementary’s chorus  concert this past Monday evening.  Angela is the chorus’ volunteer director and invited us to  participate.  I  believe we brought some of Christ’s light into the gym!  “Go tell it on the mountain…” or where ever you can.
